I'm Lennyx, aka Nox Noir. Industrial Sparkle Metal out of Folsom, California.
I make music out of the story of my soul, the things I've experienced in my life. To get the chaos and pain outside of my body so that others who have also experienced these things can see themselves reflected and know they are not alone.
Nox Noir is, if we're being honest, a bit of a bit. Nox is the Roman version of Nyx, which is a play on my own name, and "Noir" is just… dark. Because I'm goth. I'm very good at pretending that's deep.
This project is truly my life and my passion. Every day it's a reason to get up and deal with the dumpster fire the world has become, a bright neon light for my soul to grab onto that says this is what makes it living. Ask my friends: I have a hard time shutting up about it, even when I try really hard.
I started programming in BASIC at seven on an Apple IIc, learning from Computer Programming Monthly after choosing code over the handful of commercial games my parents could afford. That curiosity carried me into old-school cracking and phreaking culture: taking systems apart, learning how protection worked, and occasionally helping software escape it. These days I'm a systems engineer for the electric grid, keeping servers alive. Nerd power. Literally.
My influences are on the darker side, ranging from Tool to Evanescence and some EBM thrown in for good measure. Vocalist, songwriter, Technomancer and Sonic Phreaker. Self-taught across 50 years. D2 to A5. No lessons. No apologies.
Nox Noir is currently in rehearsal, with the intent of booking live gigs starting 2027.
