My hands move first, I follow late
Half a second behind the frame
The mirror shows me hesitate
Like it doesn’t recognize my name
The room stays still, I drift instead
Something else is wearing dread
There’s a gap I can’t cross
Between thought and a pause
And I’m falling falling through
The walls of my mind start to erase
I’m out of sync, I lose my place
My body’s here but I’m not whole
A signal lost outside the soul
I hear my voice before I speak
It echoes wrong, like borrowed sound
The floor feels soft beneath my feet
Like gravity forgot the ground
I try to anchor, nothing holds
Just static where I used to fold
Every step it misfires
Like I’ve already taken it
Somewhere else
The walls of my mind start to erase
I’m out of sync, I lose my place
My body’s here but I’m not whole
A signal lost outside the soul
Lost inside my own creation
Trapped in a state of damnation
No clean break, no separation
Just recursion wearing my face
Still here
Still wrong
Still watching
Behind
